Johnny Depp claims Amber Heard is using him ‘to extend her fifteen minutes of fame’

The Pirates of the Carribean actor, 53, has blasted his ex-wife, accusing her of using him to try and stay famous.
It comes as his legal team filed documents refusing Heard’s request to renegotiate the terms of their split, following their original $A9.6 million settlement.
As reported by TMZ, Depp’s lawyer, Laura Wasser says the 30-year-old actress’ move is a “blatant attempt to extend her fifteen minutes of fame” and “an embarrassing grab for additional and unwarranted” lawyer’s fees.
Just before Christmas, it was reported that Depp was demanding his ex pay $140,000 towards his lawyer's fees and costs
At the time, Wasser questioned Heard’s behaviour, claiming the actress acted “erratically” and “uncooperatively” throughout the case. The lawyer also said Heard’s court filing of a Request for Order last month was “entirely unnecessary.”
The actress’ legal team had claimed Depp has failed to pay the first and second instalments in their settlement, which was supposed to be paid out over 12 months.
But Wasser denied any wrongdoing.
“The impact of her [Heard’s] relentless pursuit on Johnny — the damage her false allegations have caused his personal and professional reputation, his and his family’s emotional wellbeing, and his finances — appears to be of no interest to Amber,” she stated in the court filing.
In the Request for Order motion, Heard’s team implored the court to order Depp to uphold his end of their divorce settlement.
According to documents obtained by ET, the former couple previously signed a Deal Point Memorandum, outlining what each party would pay and responsibilities they had to uphold, but Heard’s lawyers claimed Depp has not followed through on several points listed in their agreement.
