Drake to host first-ever NBA Awards in New York

Canadian rapper, Drake will take the stage as host of the first ever NBA Awards holding June 26 in New York.
While there’s no word on whether he will also perform, one person set to do so is his frequent collaborator, Nicki Minaj.
The award ceremony will feature categories like Coach of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year and, of course, the MVP award.
In the running for the MVP award are James HardenKawhi Leonard and Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook’s Oklahoma City Thunder teammate, Victor Oladipo is nominated in the Dunk of the Year category alongside LA Lakers’ Larry Nance and Zach LaVine of Minnesota Timberwolves.
All award winners will be determined exclusively by fan votes across social media platforms.
